TIGGER, our beloved Texas Cougar, passed away on September 1, 2000, at the age of 13. Tigger was the first cat at the Foundation and is the heart of our logo. We miss him very much, and he will always be with us in spirit.

Tigger belonged to our Founder, Barry R. Kirshner (pictured above), who died tragically in an auto accident in February of 1995. Barry’s mother, Roberta Kirshner, today continues his dream of educating the public about protecting our precious wildlife and their habitats, while providing a safe haven for the residents of the Foundation.
